+TIC COOL SHADE” was selected for JIDA Design Museum Selection vol.24 by Japan Industrial Designers Association (JIDA).

In 2017, “+TIC / Plastic” was selected for the Gold Selection Award at the “JIDA Design Museum Selection vol. 19”, and this is the second time the +TIC series has been selected.

+TIC COOL SHADE is a sunshade umbrella that utilizes a conventional all-plastic construction. Its exquisite size and sophisticated design make it suitable for sunny days regardless of gender or age, and it was also created to withstand rain and strong winds. With phrases such as “abnormal weather” and “extremely hot days” being reported daily, the summer of 2022 saw an increased focus on rising temperatures. We will continue to break away from the conventional notion that parasols are only for women, and aim to further promote the use of parasols as a product for protecting oneself.

It is a light-blocking type that inherits the concept of the all-plastic umbrella “+TIC,” which is friendly to both people and the environment. Recently, parasols are becoming popular among men as a countermeasure against heat stroke in the summer, and the size and design are well thought out in consideration of the diversifying scenes. In response to the problem of large quantities of umbrellas being disposed of, the company is taking on the challenge of developing sustainable umbrellas in an effort to change the consumption structure.
